type: “required” | “invalid_syntax” | “unexpected_argument” | “invalid_integer” | “invalid_number” | “invalid_duration” | “invalid_reference” | “not_found” | “custom”

Why a prefix command’s input was rejected:

  • required: a required argument is missing.

  • invalid_syntax: the input could not be split into arguments, for example an unclosed quote.

  • unexpected_argument: extra words were left after the last argument.

  • invalid_integer, invalid_number, invalid_duration: the value has the wrong format.

  • invalid_reference: a user, member, channel, or role argument is not a mention or ID.

  • not_found: the mentioned user, member, channel, or role does not exist.

  • custom: a custom parser called context.fail().
